Biography

For the last ten years I have worked as a professional photographer after graduating with a degree in Visual Arts.

I have extensive experience working for newspapers and magazines, and also as a freelance photographer within the areas of marketing, fashion, fine art, nature, portraiture and corporate work.

My images have appeared in a wide variety of publications including Archant newspapers, Cambridgeshire and Docklands Life, Professional Photographer, Sec Ed, Nursery Education, charity calendars, The Big Issue and various national newspapers. Other clients include Archant Publishing, Jarvis Exhibitions, Work Place Law, Mary Lally Associates and various London councils.

Over the years I have photographed a host of prominent figures, some of whom you will spot in the 'People' and 'Photojournalism' sections of my website, including Prince Charles, Julia Ormond, Ken Livingstone, Jo Brand and Jamie Oliver.

I am as happy with a paintbrush or pencil as a camera. I have enjoyed a variety of art commissions that include reproducing Klimt's The Kiss, floral wall murals, hand painted Christmas cards, event fliers for an east London festival and illustrations for newspapers. My main passion is for creative photographic imagery, using the natural world, pattern and colour for my inspiration. These images are used in fine art prints and greeting cards, distributed through the art agency Advocate Art.

I currently live in east London and although I enjoy the vibrancy of the city, I crave greenery and head off to the countryside or for long blustery walks by the sea whenever possible. I am happiest when I have a camera or paint brush in my hand or when surrounded by friends, wine and chocolate!

I am available for art and photography commissions and assignments. Some of these images are also available to buy as prints or cards. Please feel free to e mail me If you'd like a chat.
